What you might worry about
Will the other side notice?
While you share, with supported share sources and meeting app settings, the Lumina overlay can stay out of the shared content. But not every app and way of sharing keeps it out of view; the actual visibility depends on macOS, the meeting app and the share source you choose, so verify once the way you will really share before using it.
Do I need to be online?
Yes. Transcription runs on your device by default and the audio stays on your machine; answer generation goes through the gateway, and accounts and downloads also need a connection to the service. You can also switch to the cloud fast or standard mode.
Is my data safe?
Transcription runs on your device by default and audio content is not stored; only when an answer is generated do the current question and the background you enabled go through the gateway. Account data is isolated per user, client keys are stored only as hashes and bound to the device, and downloads use a signed link valid for 5 minutes. Which professional conversations is Lumina good for?
It suits key meetings, client and advisory conversations, proposal walkthroughs and online talks, where information is dense and you need to organize what you say as you listen. The public client currently supports Apple Silicon Macs (macOS 13 or later) and Windows.
What can I do with Lumina before a meeting?
To prepare, put common questions and your own phrasing into the personal knowledge base, ask by hand when needed and get an answer you can say as written; the real meeting reuses the same personal knowledge. You still confirm facts and figures.
What is the difference between Basic and Standard?
Basic provides the basic benefits; Standard adds live meeting features and meeting notes, with more quota. See the pricing page for the full comparison.
How does the professional knowledge base take part in answers?
When the knowledge feature is on, Lumina retrieves relevant professional content for the current question and adds it to the answer background; it supplements background, and you still confirm facts and figures.
What if I run out of quota?
When this week's quota is used up it is restored at 00:00 on Monday (China time); to get more, upgrade your subscription in the customer center, effective immediately.
